Minutes, hours. Days & Years

you forget to tell the truth,
a story that gets lost with time,
memories that grow from youth,
the tales have changed, then so have you,
I suppose it's only fit,
Every word to pass your lips,
Marks the place which now we sit,
Maybe you can protect your heart,
or cause it's only break,
Or a lie can make a dream come true,
What you've not got, you simply take
POEM EXPLANATION-
A dear friend of mine whom was also a roommate of mine is a compulsive story teller. In the years we lived together, it used to really bother me and in a fit of rage, I wrote this. The friend is a great and loyal friend and I have since learned to deal with his harmless disposition.
